Prague the capital of the Czech Republic is situated right in the heart of Europe. Has a  long history of outstanding economic and cultural activity going back to when it was a major city in the Kingdom of Bohemia and later the Roman Empire.

Prague offers excellent public transportation (subway, streetcars and public buses). Of the many Museums And Galleries in Prague must visits are the National museum, National Technical Museum, Mucha museum (Muchovo muzeum), City of Prague Museum and the Decorative Art Museum.

For accommodation there are many hotels and inns in Prague with high hospitaility standards nearly always offering a private bath and telephone

Prague hotels are rather expensive, so it is recommended to book direct with the hotel owners web sites and to book your room were possible in advance.

Fireworks Festival in Venice

The Redentore fireworks festival is held on the 18-19th of July, it is held on the third Sunday of July, is a wonderful fireworks display that is followed by both tourists & locals from Venice. The locals Venetians usually follow the spectacle  from their boats which are usually decorated with balloons, festoons and lights.

The waters sparkle with the reflection of  boats and lights. On the boats, among song, dance and typical food, people wait for the fireworks that begin at 11.30pm and go on for almost an hour. Along the banks thousand of people also wait for the fireworks at long tables set up for the occasion.

To stay in Venice there are many options from budget hotels in Venice, apartments or bed and breakfasts for every budget.

Granada, the jewel of Andalusia in southern Spain

Granada is the capital of Andalusia, an enchanting and wonderful city situated between the Sierra Nevada and the Tropical Coast. Granada is a relatively modern city that enjoys very mild weather that is surrounded by plentiful green countryside. The city of Granada has been declared a ‘Cultural World Patrimony.

Getting around the city on foot is highly recommended. Walking around the city and discover the Alhambra and Albaicín, passing through the neighborhoods of the ‘new city’, admiring palaces and monuments, letting yourself be charmed by the suggestive gardens of Generalife.

Fancy a run in Paris?

This year will be held the 33rd edition of the famous Paris Marathon. This big event will set off from the  Avenue des Champs Elyseés on Sunday, 5th April. The marathon will wind along the streets of Paris covering over 42 km.

The race will pass through the Bastille, the river Seine, les Tuileries and by Nation, finally finishing at one of the most famous lanmarks of Paris the Arch of Triumph. This year the race will host over 37,000 runners.

Each year the Paris marathon attracts many international runners from many countries around Europe & worldwide. There will be also over 70 musical groups present at the event.

Tsegaye Kebede won last years event, finishing in 2h and 6′ while the Kenyan Martha Komu, finished in the time of 2.25.33, bringing her personal record by down by 7 minutes.

There is a vast selection of hotels in Paris, from midrange 3 star hotels to quality 4 star Paris hotels.

Otranto is situated on the eastern most point in Italy and is one of the peninsula’s most hidden treasures. Otranto’s is considered one of the most beautiful in Italy. The stone paving and typical Southern Italian houses all painted with bright colors, the natural port, the sandy beach and Monte Carlo Magno and Minerva hills with their breathtaking views.

What to see in San Remo

Sanremo stretches from Andorra to the national border at Ventimiglia, is known in Italy as the  capital of flowers. San Remo is famous for the yearly Italian Music Festival a competition for upcoming Italian singers.

An hidden treasure on the Italian Riviera!

Camogli is an authentic fishing village on the The Tigullio Gulf, Italian Riviera of Liguria. Not having a large parking lot like the one at Portofino has saved the town from being invaded by mass tourism and, although events like the fish festival attract thousands of visitors, Camogli remains an authentic village to visit for a relaxing holiday.
